Book a sustainable creation explorationAn introduction to contemporary embroidery with the Lunéville hook, requiring a good level of needle embroidery as well as good manual skill and dexterity. You will make a pin embroidered on silk with the Lunéville hook, embroidering threads, beads and bugle beads, and applying an exclusive embellishment made with digital printing.

Flory Brisset, founder of Invenio Flory, will begin with an introduction to the history of embroidery and art, from the earliest traces of the technique to its reclaiming by feminist artists. She will then share her personal, transgressive vision of creation before starting the introduction to contemporary embroidery. Invenio Flory has developed two formats depending on your level and preferences:
During the visual arts exploration, you will create an art card and learn to work with materials and composition by putting one or more fine-craft techniques into practice.
During the sustainable creation exploration, you will deepen your knowledge of sustainable materials and understand how they are made in a hands-on workshop. You will also discover Invenio Flory's critical approach through a broader view of the underlying social and environmental impacts.
An introduction to contemporary needle embroidery, suitable for all levels. During this workshop, you will make a 3D needle-embroidered pin, using beads, sequins and cup sequins in relief, as well as exclusive 3D-printed biomaterial embellishments to be embroidered under tension.
